Grow along with us this National Allotment Week
Follow the #QGrow as we launch an online series teaching you what to plant, when as we start autumn sowing for the 2026 growing season.
Through a mix of blog posts, videos, and interactive updates, #QGrow will share regular insights from Quorum’s allotment and community garden spaces.
The goal is to provide simple, practical, and wildlife-friendly ideas that people can easily replicate -whether they have a garden, balcony, or just a sunny windowsill.
The first event to kick off #QGrow will be a Seed Swap on Thursday 11th September at Quorum Retail.
Visitors will be able to collect vegetable seeds, wildflower mixes, and cultivated pollinator-friendly seeds all saved onsite to start their own green projects.
Expert advice will come from two of Quorum Park’s resident gardening champions:
Laura McGrath, Quorum’s Sustainability and Community Director, who founded the onsite allotments in 2021 as an enthusiastic amateur with a passion for nature and wildlife.
Colin Abdu, Quorum’s landscaper, who brings over 20 years of professional gardening experience and a wealth of pragmatic, hands-on knowledge.
Together, Laura and Colin will offer a balance of fresh ideas and tried-and-tested approaches -all rooted in a nature-first, wildlife-friendly ethos.
“We’re proud of the community we’ve built around our allotments here at Quorum,” said Laura. “With #QGrow, we want to take that energy online and show people how easy it is to get started at home - whether you want to grow your own veg, encourage pollinators, or just connect more closely with nature.”
Followers can join in by tracking updates on Quorum Park’s social media channels and sharing their own progress using #QGrow.
