The Heart of our Business Community

Why the Quorum Park Events Calendar is the Heart of Its Business Community

In the modern world of hybrid working, a business park can no longer just be a collection of desks and high-speed internet. To thrive, it must be a community. At Quorum Park, the secret to fostering this vibrant professional ecosystem lies in a packed events calendar that transforms a "place of work" into a destination for wellness, inclusivity, and connection.

Event’s Manager Claire Lusk mentions: “We pride ourselves on being more than just an office space. For the thousands of employees across the park, these events are the social glue. They create high value office days, giving staff a reason to step away from their screens, meet their neighbours, and return to their desks with renewed energy. “

As we look ahead, three major pillars of the Quorum Park community are taking centre stage:

1. Prioritizing the Mind: Mental Health Awareness

Quorum Park has long been an ambassador for the Better Health at Work scheme, and this commitment is most visible during Mental Health Awareness initiatives. The park integrates wellness into the daily grind through accessible, low-pressure activities.

2. Pedalling for the Planet: The Bike Hub & Active Travel

Sustainability isn't just a corporate buzzword at Quorum; it’s a lifestyle. The park’s focus on active travel helps reduce the community's carbon footprint while boosting physical fitness.

  • Upcoming Event: Summer Bike Hub & Active Travel Breakfast (June 10th): This staple event offers more than just a free breakfast for cyclists, walkers and public transport users. With the onsite Bike Hub services, commuters can get expert advice and maintenance, making the choice to cycle to work easier and safer. Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or a curious beginner, the Bike Hub is the hub of Quorum's green movement.

3. Celebrating Diversity: Pride of Quorum

Inclusivity is a core value at Quorum Park. The park aims to create an environment where everyone feels safe to bring their whole selves to work.

  • Upcoming Event: Pride of Quorum (June 24th): This is the highlight of the summer social calendar. Featuring a live concert and a vibrant parade, Pride of Quorum is more than just a party.

It’s a powerful statement of solidarity. It brings together diverse businesses under one banner of equality, reinforcing the park's reputation as a progressive and welcoming place to do business.

  • We actively encourage our tenants on the park to get involved with our Q Pride and Q belong Committee, and support our local partnership with OUT NE and Curious Arts, both organisations who are heavily involved with the North East’s Pride movement.

  • We are pleased to be partnering with LGBTQ+ employee led network within EQUANS, Encompass Network who are looking forward to marking and celebrating Pride Month with colleagues in June.
Martha Mordecai, representing EQUANS Encompass Network - “In particular we are excited to be collaborating with our fellow employee led network AccessAbility in welcoming Paralympian triple gold medallist Lauren Rowles OBE who will be sharing insights into her remarkable journey as a disabled LGBTQ+ athlete at a hosted speaker event at Equans offices in Quorum Park.   At 29, Lauren is already among the leading and most decorated figures in elite sport and we are delighted that she is able to form part of our Pride programme.
We are grateful to Quorum Business Park for their help in making this event happen.“

Lauren’s appearance shall be part of the “Q Pride” celebrations on the 24 June 2026.  The in-person session shall also be accessible virtually via a live feed.  Colleagues and friends across Quorum Park are warmly invited to join us for what should be a powerful and inspiring session.

Look out for other details of this event and other initiatives which we will be launching in Pride Month!

A Summer of Connection

Beyond these highlights, the Scran Sessions and Treat Days (hosted at the Neon and Q11 buildings) continue to support local North East vendors, ensuring that the economic impact of the park’s community spirit reaches far beyond its own gates.

Event’s Manager, Claire Lusk -”By investing in events that focus on health, the environment, and diversity, Quorum Park isn't just managing property; it’s building a future-proofed business community where people and the companies they work for can truly flourish.”
