Work your way to fitness with another free Summer challenge

You may have noticed that some members of our Quorum community have a real spring in their step after completing a 28-day fitness challenge that was provided for free by our partners at Maximum Fitness.

Earlier this year, we weren’t surprised when 20 willing people from across the park grabbed their shot at losing fat and gaining muscle along with a whole host of other health benefits to make them feel amazing by joining the free 28-day fitness challenge – #MF28 – which was exclusively offered for free to people based at Quorum Park.

Among those were Carolyn Milburn Internal Communications Manager at qualifications provider NCFE, who wanted to use the challenge to mark her 40th birthday. She found she enjoyed the 30-minute sessions provided as part of the challenge so much that she’s now continuing to attend Maximum Fitness bootcamps on a regular basis. Carolyn lost 10.4lb of body fat over the 28 days, and reduced her body fat by 6%!

Commenting on the experience, Carolyn said: “I am absolutely buzzing with my results after the 28 days, and a huge thanks to everyone at Maximum Fitness for not only making me feel fitter, happier and healthier, but changing my mindset and relationship with fitness.”

Our Hub Events Manager Claire Lusk also took part and lost 11 pounds of fat, while gaining 2.4 pounds of muscle. But Chartered Engineer Mark Cummings, CEO of Mac Projects International, a global recruitment and specialist personnel provider, actually went on to win #MF60 – a super-intense 60-day challenge from Maximum Fitness during which he lost 34

pounds of fat, despite juggling the demands of work alongside the needs of his five children.

Marking the achievement on its Facebook page, Maximum Fitness said: “Mark said from day one ‘I am going to win’ and he did just that!

“Mark is a family man; he runs a huge business that requires immense amounts of time and energy. For most, that is a big enough reason to never be able to have time to do something like this. However, Mark found a way and has proved that no matter what you have going on in life, no matter the responsibilities or circumstances, if you want to find a way you always can.”

Included as part of the next #MF28 challenge, exclusive to members of the Quorum Park community, which is designed to be motivating and to help nurture your physical, mental, and nutritional health, making you less likely to be sick and need to take time off work, are unlimited access to Maximum Fitness bootcamps, nutritional guidance, individual cardio challenges, and a private WhatsApp group so you have support 24/7.

Anyone that works on the park is eligible to apply, as long as they’re not already a member of Maximum Fitness, which is based just a short drive away at Camperdown Industrial Estate.

Claire added: “I’d thoroughly recommend this programme as having been through it myself I feel mentally stronger, but more importantly, this is a great example of the many ways in which we want to ensure people based on the park have every opportunity while at work to look after their whole selves.”
